Founded by two brothers from Southeast Amsterdam, The Cornerstone is both a bistro and a breeding ground. The Cornerstone is located in the beautiful new sustainable building of the Oba Next Lab, where we aim to inspire the next generation with our business, our story, and our dishes. The connecting factor is always food. We bring people together, create opportunities for the next generation, and are proud of who we are and where we come from: the Bijlmer.

Sustainable in everything we do

At The Cornerstone, everything has been carefully thought out. Our menu is tailored to our broad clientele and features names that wink at our love for music and old-school hip hop vibes. Our circular interior has been lovingly curated from vintage pieces that are given a new lease on life and allowed to shine in our space.

In the kitchen, we work with ingredients sourced from the region as much as possible. We also minimize waste where possible, recycle, and believe that good business must be good on all fronts.

Whether you want to order a fresh lunch in one of the Oba meeting rooms (from 15 people) or full BBQ catering for your event (from 60 people) — we’ll take care of it! Tasty, fresh, and custom-made.
